This picks up where Hartstein ends, it's a year later, and Paul is working with the editors on the finalization of his novel. Carol is no longer the leading editor working with Paul and it seemed that each day brought someone new into play as the many details of finalizing a novel before publication begin to overwhelm him. But he was buoyed by the fact that he now had a publication date and his world was spinning faster and faster with each passing day.
Paul and Carol visit the Café Orlin and she tells him a tale about Terry the bartender he is infatuated with. This involves voyeurism, masturbation, exhibitionism and fucking.
This is an off-shoot of the Hartstein series. Paul & Carol go to his publisher's Memorial Day Party which turns into a swingers party with Carol and the publisher's wife as the main attractions. Everyone gets involved.

We pick up where Dutch and Rosa left off in the novel, "The Gathering." However the series as originally planned has been phased out as it proved to difficult to manage. "The Gathering Book II, is also known as "The Gathering, Los Angeles," and will continue to tell the story of Dutch and Rosa through the year 2000.

Two characters who will be familiar to my readers, Marilyn Perry (The Gathering) and Sully ("Sully") get together in Sully's Laurel Canyon home. Sully now makes porn films, Marilyn has two "Nieces" who are interested in becoming porn stars. They conclude their contract negotiations on a pool table.
Introducing Annie, a college dean from Minneapolis, who is visiting Atlanta for the weekend. She's horny, takes a cab ride that is so good that she looks the cabbie up the next night, and goes to a wild swinging party.

John and Argie discuss their apparent conflicts and decide that they love one another, but since John is incorrigible with regard to having sex with many women, Argie, too can have her own affairs. But they will tell one another about them. Argie becomes a sex surragate and John goes to see Felicia whom he met at Sex Addicts Annonymous. She has a friend waiting for him.
