In the first few minutes of his time there he rescues a White woman from the Redsticks. She soon becomes his wife. He sets himself up as a professional hunter and supplies hog and deer meat to the residents of the town of Bob's Knob. He becomes the captain of the local militia, and they fight several battles with the Redsticks. 8 chapters.
