Instead of joining the ranks of the political elite, Innes Kingsford chose to join the navy, making him the black sheep of one of the great families. That wasn't enough for his family to keep from using him as a pawn as his father manipulates his first assignment as part of a political scheme. Innes finds himself in a remote system under the command of a member of his family's greatest house rivals where Innes discovers conspiracy, criminal enterprises, and possible interstellar war converging.

The story follows Dieter Pfeiffer and Gisela Fischer, two teens in 1938 Nazi Germany, as they attend the Nazi Party Rally in Nuremberg. The Hitlerjugend forces to two teens together prematurely. This story follows as the two have a baby, fall in love, survive the chaos of a world war and then marry.

She has a rare blood group and is bleeding to death. It's a race against time. The local community helps by donating blood; neighbours and strangers are determined to help her.
