For obvious reasons, the kids make a break from Child Protective Services. Their greatest fear is that they might be fostered out to separate families and never see each other again. There's no sex in this story (they're only nine). It gets mentioned, but the kids don't do it. -- I'm numbering them so that they will be listed in chronological order. Every now and then I might stick something in that happened before something else.

Lewis joins his mother for dinner at her hotel and then stays the night! ... ... By the time dawn arrives his future has changed! He finds himself running a diamond mine, in South Africa! ... ...
