This single chapter story is part of the chain story/universe about the genie Laresa, who is contained in a ring. This story has to do with her adventures with a German intelligence officer and his old flame in the latter part of the Second World War.

I was inspired by the opening premise of Oliver Twist’s excellent “My double life as a whore,” where a surprise meeting in a hotel bar leads to many other things, to recount my own true story of my recent hotel bar adventure.

When a mother discovers her son can't have kids with his wife she begins a plan to make him think he can. At the same time she begins to bring her daughter in law and her husband together in hopes she will get the grandchildren she desperately wants.
