A cyber-punk psychological horror story about a young woman just trying to move up in life. When you have nothing you will do whatever it takes to get something, to be better. Anything to take the edge off, but to also give you an edge. But what happens when your mind is on 24-7, what's real, what happens when you sleep, and can you wake up again?
My story is a sequel to "Chattel Acres." The original "Chattel Acres" was written by SumYunGai and QuestionMark around 1994 or thereabouts. It was a story about a dairy farm in which the cattle were human women. They were rounded up out of the "wild," branded, milked, bred, and, yes, even slaughtered (alive) for meat. Grizzly stuff!
A dad takes his daughter on a camping trip with some people. Things get crazy when one of the men gets pissed because a girl won't fuck him. People get hurt and someone dies.
Amanda's thoughts and memories match the bounce of her horse as she rides. She needs to realize that choosing between a good looking quarterback and a poor stable boy isn't all that hard.
Everyone has secrets: Katherine is pregnant but doesn't know who the father is, Joseph is screwing his secretary, Charlotte has a gambling addiction with a loan shark on her back, Gareth secretly likes unusual sexual practices, Paul is an embezzling paedophile, Lewis is infatuated with the Russian au-pair while Matthew knows exactly who the father of Katherine's baby is. This is an adult book and the results of NaNoWriMo 2011.
