I wrote this story a couple of weeks ago for Legends Day on that other site. I got a lot of e-mails about people who were put off by the Original title. It was originally called the BBC

I was the son of a farmer and have used a bow since I was a child. With nothing to keep me on the farm I made the walk to join the king's army. When I showed how good I was the sergeant took me to the elves. On a bet I shot against the leader of the elven archers and won two things. A new elven bow and a place with them. I also ended up with a mate and my new life started by fighting raiders and then mercenaries that would attack the king.

Halloween 2017
Bambie hates Halloween, she had decided that this year she was going to hide in the outback of Australia. She even had the perfect excuse to go there, after all, it was work-related. She would even get to fulfil a dream, so what could go wrong? (Won 3rd-place 2017 Halloween comp.)
