In 1870, Bob Harris buys a mule. He is a bounty hunter, and the mule replaces his horse. This is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek story, so don't take it too seriously. The story was suggested by a great friend of mine until she died, Ada, a mule. The story is short, but I had fun with it. Five chapters.

Book 1 began the story telling of the Day of Destruction or the Day. It told of George and Jane Andrews and the establishment of Protection in western Tennessee. The story of Jack Mathews and his marriage and adventures with Shirley began. This book continues with the story of Jack and Shirley and their community, Preservation, as well as continuing the story of Protection.
Caught in a mountain snow storm, Jim seeks shelter from a woman in an isolated house and finds shelter from the emotional storms enveloping both himself and the woman.
Paul and Jen are married with two daughters, April and May. Jen dies of cancer and Paul must continue on for their daughters. What will he do and how will he go on without Jen? There are strong religious overtones. It may jerk a few tears. There is no explicit sex.
