If you are looking for fast paced action and a bit of 'wham, bam, thank you ma'am', don't stop here.
However, if you would like a story that unfolds in a logical but slightly unpredictable way, read and enjoy.
Kenny's rise from rags to riches, otherwise known here as from the orphanage to high society, is rapid enough but is also well documented.
There are a few grammatical errors but they are not so frequent as to detract from the enjoyment of reading this book. The plot has sufficient twists and turns to keep it interesting, the characters are well drawn and if you like golf, there is an added interest to pull the reader along through this story. For the non-golfers, it does not dominate the work and you won't have to skip pages!
This is a good start to a trilogy.

I have read all of the Kenny the Kansan and I'm reading them for a second time. 10th Grade gives the story of a young orphan boy that has lived in a an orphanage run by nuns. Kenny is a troubled youth and does has his share of problem dealing with himself and other.
If you like a story with a good plot then this is the story for you. There really is not much a stroke appeal to those that just want to get off, although there are some sex scence.
