A struggling journeyman musician finds musical success but fails at winning the romantic acceptance of the troubled young lady songbird he loves, but cannot seem to have. A romantic drama of unrequited love with little/no sex until the end. This is a comprehensive rewrite of one of my very earliest stories.

John Jacob "Jake" Nicholls and Gillian "Gill" Louisa Moorhouse have both been damaged in the past. Each has worked together and admired each other for years, although they seem miles apart in their careers. Now a broken marriage and broken family have brought them into alignment. Together they climb a steep hill, but will they fall and will they be hurt? A gentle romance set against a backdrop of high hills, high finance and a low character, a story full of humour, drama and love.

Alan, a 27 year old disabled Marine, is trying to resume his life after several tragedies, including the death of his wife and children and his own failed suicide attempt when he meets Mindy. Alan was convinced that love was a weakness and he would NEVER again allow himself to fall in love. Unknown to Alan, love would enter his life two years later "on little cat's feet" and "like a thief in the night" in the persona of Mindy.

A story in the Legends of Ireland Universe
The Mountain of Slievenamon in County Tipperary is known as the 'Mountain of the women', and viewed from a distance looks like a shapely woman lying in repose. The mountain features much in Irish legends with many burial cairns and around 4 portals purported to lead to and from the Otherworld. This gentle, lightly humorous contemporary romance includes fantasy elements of Irish history, legend, and modern life. / (Reviews)
