She is now alone and Brady makes her his trapping partner. From then on they are together for the rest of their lives. First in Wyoming, and then in California. A completely revised and rewritten version of the first half of "Ellen" with a more realistic plot.

When his family and several others head west to settle near Council Bluffs, his adventures continue, becoming more numerous and earning him the moniker Lucky Jim. Follow Jim as he grows into a leadership role that he feels unqualified to hold, until finally forced to test both his leadership ability and his luck. Another of my "twisted histories."

A Story in the Anthony Carter Universe
At 11 years of age, Thomas Grey goes to sea as a volunteer in a small sloop of war, commanded by his father, to learn seamanship prior to joining the Royal Naval Academy. Thomas has to mature beyond his years, surviving sea battles and yellow fever, but he joins the Academy as an accomplished sailor and leader in the making, finding friends for life in the process. This is the prequel to the novel The Return of Thomas Grey
