Each July, I post a story to honor those who’ve served. The heroes in this were famous in their time but forgotten now. I want to remind you who they were... He had more money than morals. But he was living a perfect life until the Japanese spoiled the fun. The misery of Santo Tomas showed him who he was, and a tough Army nurse made him into the man he wanted to be. Read on and discover the Angels of Bataan. These real-life heroines put new meaning to the words honor, duty, and courage.

I post a story every July to honor folks who've served, and I try to focus on obscure people in each. I'm from a generation where guys returning from honorable service weren't given the credit they deserved. That was also the case with the Women Air Service Pilots—the WASPs. So, I wanted to tell the story of those brave women. The plot is a coming-of-age tale… sort of a latter-day Pilgrim's Progress—and most of the characters are real. Please enjoy…

On 15 September 1942 the USS WASP (CV 7) was struck my multiple torpedoes that caused massive fires and tremendous explosions. After a forty minute effort to fight the fires, abandon ship was ordered. 193 crewmen lost their lives. One of those crewmen had written a letter to his five year-old son, which I offer you on Veteran's Day 2024 as a reminder of why these days of national rememberance and honor are so important.

Every 4th of July, I post a tribute to those who’ve served. The main character evolves from childhood to adulthood, which happens when you take the oath. I try to highlight lesser-known contributors to ensure that they are also memorialized, and this year’s story certainly fits that bill. Before researching this, my only knowledge of the 442nd RCT came courtesy of Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid, which is unfortunate, since those were real-life heroes and this is their true story. Please enjoy...

A Story in the Anthony Carter Universe
This is set twenty years after the events of "In the Navy". The lives of Anthony Carter and his family are turned topsy-turvy by the arrival of Ellen, a young shepherdess. Follow the lives of the Carters and their friends and relatives during the late regency era and explore foreign countries and cultures with them. History is not necessarily dry! Winner of the 2021 Classic Clitoris Award. Chapters 1-12 had to be replaced with no-sex chapters from Ellen Trilby, to meet the new rules.
