He sees the opportunity to take very personal approach to the situation. However, as has been noted by others: Be careful what you wish for, you might get it!

Waikiki PI Story #4. Our intrepid hero is on a sleazy fraud case when he is haunted by friends from his childhood. One of them, a disturbed psychotic, is the prime suspect in a gruesome murder. Will he solve the case and revitalize his friendships? (It's best to read the earlier stories in the Universe to understand the characters.)

A Story in the Naked In School Universe
Daan’s a high-school teacher whose research on the effects of school nudity brings him to the attention of the Program’s developers who want to employ him as a Program coordinator. Then his kids, who are opposed to immoral rules like the Program’s forced nudity, learn that it’s in his high school, where they’ll be starting soon. Oh boy! Fireworks? You bet. But the kids’ challenges aren’t over as they must keep dealing with their coordinator dad and school nudity issues when the family must move.

A teenage girl whose mother is killed in an auto accident is forced to move in with a distant cousin of her mother's and his two sons.

Anna is young and attractive but sometimes intimidating. She is comfortable in her role of wife and mother, which she balances against her career as a policewoman. She's also comfortable in her heterosexuality, but her emotional world is upended at a kindergarten barbecue where she encounters Susan, who unearths feelings she never suspected. Anna turns to her journal and tries to pour her confusion onto the page where she hopes to better understand what is happening to her.

A rebellious teen is sent to a new military academy, one of many in a long series of academies. He decides to help a new girl that arrived with him on a SERE course. When he overhears the instructors talking about killing her he has to act.
