This is a story of first love - a love that grows into an everlasting love between two teens - and their faith in God and each other. Read it, I think you'll like it, I did.

Alan, a 27 year old disabled Marine, is trying to resume his life after several tragedies, including the death of his wife and children and his own failed suicide attempt when he meets then 16 year old Mindy. Alan was convinced that love was a weakness and he would NEVER again allow himself to fall in love. Unknown to Alan, love would enter his life two years later "on little cat's feet" and "like a thief in the night" in the persona of now 18 year old Mindy.

John Jacob "Jake" Nicholls and Gillian "Gill" Louisa Moorhouse have both been damaged in the past. Each has worked together and admired each other for years, although they seem miles apart in their careers. Now a broken marriage and broken family have brought them into alignment. Together they climb a steep hill, but will they fall and will they be hurt? A gentle romance set against a backdrop of high hills, high finance and a low character, a story full of humour, drama and love.

This is a simple, character driven romance. It follows Cousin Removed. There are also people and events from Maja's Mom and Science Experiment mentioned. The timeline of stories is, Maja's Mom, Science Experiment, Cousin Removed, Cousins Removed - A New Beginning. This story includes a previously posted story, "Thanksgiving" (modified for clarification) and provides the rest of the story. It is a romance and some may think parts of it are overly sweet. Love does that.
