This is about the aftermath of war and people's sacrifices. He didn't want to leave his young wife but his sense of duty made him answer the call. Nevertheless, there are always consequences for every decision and his were very severe indeed. I try to post something every July Fourth to honor those who served. This one cuts a little closer to the bone than most. So, I hope you enjoy.

Nick has graduated high school and is off to college and beyond. The story might not make sense if you haven't read the first book. Enjoy.
