Chance and Jill have pursued their dream to open up a bake shop together. And even though they have met with success, they learn that they can't keep that secret of success secret for long.

In the junction of three rivers were three duchies from three kingdoms. Each had its Guardsmen but by treaty only the Watch could patrol and enforce the law in all three. The catch was they were not allowed lethal weapons.

The story is about a teenage girl named Wendy Ann Ingrid Farrell, nicknamed "Waif," who has recently turned 18. She has been battling a blood and bone marrow disease but is currently in remission due to successful treatments involving stem cell transfusions from her twin sisters. However, the treatment has halted her physical development, leaving her with the body of an 11-year-old despite her actual age.

I was a full mage finally and had put a lot of thought and research into the valley of the dead kings. I knew hundred or maybe more had tried to enter and steal the treasures but I wanted golden the libraries of the kings. I would have to fight magic with magic but also use elements to protect me from it, or from special traps designed to break magical defenses.

All my long life I have been a surf... a slave. I served and taught the rich and when I was old or ancient as they called me they wanted to sacrifice me. Even ancient I still knew how to kill and I did and tried to escape but a mage caught me. I was not the only one he was going to sacrifice. He drained our blood and replaced it with the blood of a dragon, it should have killed us but... but it brought youth and strength and a chance to kill the mage.
