When a horse wears blinkers, it can only see what is right in front of it. But it knows there is more. It can hear it, even smell it. But it doesn't see. Until it turns its head. Or someone turns it for him.
This one is based on an old elegy, and because of that, the style of the story is very different from that which I normally use. I hope you enjoy it anyway. (Any guesses on what it is based?)
