An experimental story to see how storiesonline’s ‘interactive’ function works. The story starts off with the main character being a young teen boy, then after that, it’s up to the reader. Well, that’s the theory.
Brian is in his fifties, divorced and working at a local supermarket stocking shelves as his ex took most of the wages of his previous, well paying job. He is as content as can be, until he gets lumbered with a new young female employee to mentor.
Fuck it. Time to do over a do-over. James, a mid-thirty something car mechanic, wakes up in a body that isn't his. Even worse, the body isn't even male.

When I woke up and eventually dragged myself out of bed on this New Year 's Day, I hadn't planned on writing a short story. But that's what happened, and here we are. A young man in his early twenty's, desperate for companionship, unexpectedly finds some company when he goes swimming. The meeting leads to the young man finding out more about himself and his desires.
