Coming of Age Stories

Josh is a freshman in high school and gets to choose one elective. He chooses photography. First, he learns to make a pinhole camera and uses it to take a picture of a beautiful girl in his class, unbeknownst to her. He learns how to develop the pictures in the dark room and Mr Watts, his photography teacher sees his first picture and it's "perfect". He displays it for all to see. Now other girls want their pictures taken too! With Dana's help, Josh in now in high demand for his artistic ability

When my brother and I found an old trunk in the attic of Grandma's house, he was interested in the WW II relics our grandfather brought back from the war. I was interested in the diary Grandpa's sister had written. It detailed things she did with her twin before he, too, went off to war. They weren't the kinds of things that were acceptable, then or now. But they excited me, and then they excited my brother. Somehow, what had happened between siblings 70 some odd years ago happened again.

"This series is well worth the read. Bravo!" -Devon Layne Josh's exhibit at the Sheldon Art Museum was a success, kind of. With Laura's last second help he managed to submit the three portraits he needed. Needless to say, Laura's Mom wasn't at all happy when she saw what Josh had done. She was furious. Now, Josh was in even deeper hot water. First it was the rumors in the halls of his high school. Now, it's his girlfriend's mother and possibly her father who were going to be after him.
