A Rachael of Emarukistan Story
This is a companion story to the four stories in the Rachael of Emarukistan series, which are set around the ninth century CE. Meghr is introduced in Rachael and the Warlord (part four of the series) when she is around nineteen years old. This stand-alone short story provides Meghr's back-story, and what becomes of her after she leaves Rachael's caravanserai, Wadi Halaf. This story can be read without previously reading any of the Rachael of Emarukistan series.

I didn't write it, Mike McGifford did. He gave me permission to edit and illustrate. When I read it, I thought to myself, "This is the best story I might ever read." If you are a fan of my stories, this has everything I love. Luke's father trains women who volunteer to be submissives for weeks at a time to rich guys. His dad brings Eve home to evaluate her, and there is just something about Eve that changes things forever. The word pictures Mike creates are why I think it deserves the title.
