For the past five summers 15 yr old Jimmy has lived and trained with his 29 yr old Aunt Tracy, a former All-American soccer player. This summer they both notice a marked improvement in his skills on the field. Tracy has ideas about finding out how his skills are in other areas.
Gino Manelli Jr. has worked as his dad's janitorial assistant for the past six years, since graduating from Rivadale High School. Now that his dad's emphysema has progressively worsened, forcing the senior Manelli to retire, Superintendent Edna Nelson promoted Gino to Head Custodian.
Lucien purchases a flute in a pawn shop, and immediately begins playing it. There's more to the flute and Lucien, than meets the eye. He's special, and so is his flute music.
Dave is attacked by a dog while out for his daily walk. The dog is eliminated by a strange creature that appears from nowhere. Dave is saved from bleeding to death by a pair of twin girls. Later in the hospital, Dave discovers that the girls are bonded to him. Life gets a lot more interesting from then on.
