It amazes me that since 2005 only four of us have voted on Lubrican's story of life, as he sees it anyway, out west in 1875. Now more than two hundred years later we can only wish that we were fully paid up members of the family of Tom, his sister Sue Ellen, and their aunt and uncle Polly and Bob! And what antics they all get up to as they learn how to exist in such troubled times.
Lubrican writes with his tongue in cheek, although I think he wishes it were somewhere else!
Polly and Bob live in an old Mission compound and Bob is a master leather smith, and promises to teach Tom all about the business; no, not what you're thinking; the leather business, silly. And Sue Ellen is busy learning how to take care of her babies, with some of Aunt Polly's too.
Enjoy.
