When Gabriel finds himself drowning in debt and in desperate need of a fresh start, he turns to the one person his mother warned him never to trust—his Aunt Tina. She’s older, sultry, and dangerously off-limits, but her offer is too good to refuse: live with her, save money, and get back on his feet. But as the nights stretch longer and the walls between them grow thinner, Gabriel begins to see Tina not as the estranged relative his mother despises—but as a woman.
Unfaithful, inattentive parents in a failing marriage. Bickering siblings who can barely stand to be in the same room. A sister who jetted off to college and never calls. A long list of secrets and dark histories. These are the ingredients that make up the dysfunctional Greenfield family. But the oldest son's girlfriend has a plan to help repair this fractured family, by converting them to her own family's not-so-conventional lifestyle.
Your sister dumps her two young teen kids on you, so she and her dumbass husband can go screw on a Love Boat cruise. The kids are great, and you're their favorite aunt. What could possibly go wrong? Except--per losgudian logic--everything. I'll warn all in advance, this is a pretty weird story. I really like the writing, and I did mark up a printed draft first. Plus, it's fiction funny. But the storyline probably has something for everybody to hate. Lash me lightly, if you please. / (Reviews)
