A story set in the Pinwheel Universe
Tepin, a shy Valbaran artist, travels to the Pinwheel in search of inspiration. During his exploration of the space station, he encounters a Krell, a giant alien with an uncanny resemblance to the ancient deities of his people's past. Enamored, he attempts to make friends with the creature, despite their problems communicating and their difference in size.

A young officer in an alien planet’s military space force is sent with two other space explorers back to the supposed origin of mankind a millennium or so after it was thought to be decimated. Alpha, they called it. Due to extenuating circumstances, when she arrived on Alpha, or Earth as we know it, she was alone. Not knowing, and even fearing what she would encounter upon landing, it turned out pretty well. Pretty well for her and for what was left of Earth’s severely diminished population.

A Not-Quite Human Story

The home they discover is a hostile place, involved in a huge interstellar war with an hostile alien species. Viewed as untrusted interlopers, they search for a place in a universe with no use for them, with little place to turn for assistance.
