Another chapter of Community - Still Here is in the posting queue.

I'm thinking of writing a story for the Halloween contest. I've done it before.

Actually, Details Matter was going to be a Halloween story, with its supernatural ties, but the story line was just crying for more attention.

So I've got a couple of snippets for starters, as well as some heat-addled thoughts that might show up.

One never knows.

I know some of you are asking questions. I would, too.

I'm healthy. New house, new wife, new puppy.

And I have most of a chapter of the story hammered out.

The girls are still being themselves - quirky, capable...

And I'll get that chapter out soon.

Promise.

Life is about changes.

In the past two months I've gotten married to a lady I've known for over thirty years. Together we've bought a house.

I'm still fully employed although well past retirement age because I don't have a job, I have a hobby with a paycheck.

I haven't given up on writing. I will get back into it. I want to see what happens in those stories just as much as you do.

Just sent a chapter to the editor. Should post in a few days.

A lot of you have poked me about my status. I appreciate the concern expressed in many of those posts. Yes, I am "of a certain age" and if YOU worry, you should see it from my vantage, every time a new ache or pain pops up. My health is pretty good for the number of trips around the Sun. I still work full-time.

I feel guilty about not writing. I will try to be a bit more productive. I still want to see what happens next.

First chapter is coming up in the continuation of the story of Cindy and the Smart Girls. This one was easy enough - some of mine, some of a somewhat anonymous friend's stuff.

Let us see where it goes.

And yes, wrap-ups of the dangling parts of the other two active stories will also follow.
