Thanks to reader x37 a number of typos were identified, corrected, and placed in the queue for posting. Inkie remains the same otherwise.
My thanks to the folks who rated the last two Harem Tales. If you checked, Inkie has the highest rating, and I think is my favorite as well.
Pēteris my work-in-progress in the Damsel In Distress Universe is proceeding. It is already approaching my longest story to date, and Pēteris hasn't yet left the town where he entered Chaos. Two Companions, a reluctant (maybe she's shy) Caretaker, and three saddle bags full of money. I hope I can keep you interested.
Reminder: The nominations are open for Clitorides Awards. I've nominated a few and need to finish up. Remember that the stories can be published elsewhere, not just on SOL.
For those who voted, and especially for those who wrote, on We Gotta Get Outta This Place, I am truly grateful. It is hard to believe that 2016 saw the first fiction that I ever ventured (except to my teacher about missing homework.)
A piece of very good news, we finally heard from our good friend and Swarm author Tomken who has been on a hiatus.
I've finished the formatting for Inkie, a four-chapter short story. This will be the last (for now) of THE Harem Tales. I will send it along for posting today and tomorrow.
I have a hard time deciding if Inkie or Katie is my favorite character. I'd be interested in hearing of yours.
There is a brief cameo appearance by the man "who sees patterns" from Don't Blame Me!, and he makes an interesting observation.
The Tuull are still involved - very involved.
A very happy and safe coming year to you all.
There were a few paragraph spacing problems in yesterday's posting. I fixed them in my recent upload. Those of you who downloaded yesterday to read in a reader, I'd advise that you might want to re-download.
Be safe tonight.
Chapter 16, the epilogue, and the promised character list are in the queue for posting tomorrow. Prior to uploading, I plan to fix any reported typos throughout the story. This is a plea for you to report anything that you notice or question. My usual final proof reader, TomKen, is away, so I want to fix as much as possible before the story is published in its final form. As I related earlier, Medik_4_7 and two readers did yeoman's work in polishing this story, but TomKen (as did some of you) seems to catch stuff that we've missed when we read and read and read.
Chapter 16 tells the story of the extraction of a Kentucky woman who "shines with the wrong kind of light." This isn't the harem's last pickup before departure, but it is the last one in this story.
Next, Lolli and Helva have a final word for Earthat's REMFs, and the colony ships depart the system.
Chapters 14 & 15 will post on Wednesday. Lolli and Helva are getting very close to departure.
On a ranch near the projected advance of the Sa'arm, Maureen Smith McDonald was raising an impossible number of children, largely by herself. The Harrad Colony needs more children, especially with a super competent mother.
Other colonies also need more children, so the harem makes several last pushes prior to leaving.
