Chapter 4 has just been submitted for posting. Many folks have written to comment on this story: thank you, all, very much! Thank you particularly for the engagement that commenting readers have shown.
I hope that you enjoy the next chapter. I tried to write something I'd (ahem!) enjoy reading.
And, while I have your attention, let's all be thankful. I'm thankful for, among other things, the other writers on this, and other, site(s). Among these are Samantha K (Really! Read her Samantha Draco stories! I shit you not, read 'em!), Lubrican (as if I had to tell you why!), T. S. Fesseln, Al Steiner (I don't think I've read a single one of his stories, that I did not enjoy), and, (HEE'SSS BAAA-AACKK!) Dangermouse.
I've already spoken of my gratitude for firefighters, EMTs, Cops, docs, nurses, pharmacists, and all the other folks who are working Thanksgiving, away from their families, so that, should you or I need them, that they're there.
If you need them, please consider saying "Thanks!"
I just submitted another chapter of Emily In The Dark. I have had several lovely people comment upon it (Thank you all, very much!), and had a couple question some of the premises upon which I base the story. Again, thank you for reading, and becoming engaged enough to question things.
This story was triggered after I read "The Walk" written by Lee Goldberg. I wondered how a similar trip might be triggered here in Northern Michigan, and how that might work out for a guy like me. Then, of course, I wondered how I could work a porn angle into it. Stories like "In Kind" by LOAnnie2, in addition, played into my deliberations, wherein the cute young woman feels obligated to demonstrate her gratitude in classic and unmistakable terms. So, Viola!, I started to write.
Nest chapter will begin the consideration of how an adult woman may consider thanking the man who tries to make sure that she is going to get home safely. (nudge, nudge, wink-wink!) I hope you all enjoy it.
While I was avoiding writing checks for my bills, laundry, dishes, cooking and so forth, it occurred tome to wonder what it might have been like if someone had witnessed the tryst featured at the state forest campground, in Road Trip Tease. So, I tried to tell that tale from a third person's perspective. I hope that I entertained you, and that I added to the "Road Trip Tease" story, with this effort. A tale I tapped out in a single afternoon. (Wife: unimpressed.)
I have a new story completed. The first chapter is in the queue for posting. I expect that I'll post a chapter a week, for seven chapters. This story starts slowly, as my focus was primarily a sort of thought experiment regarding how I might get home in the event of some sort of catastrophe. I was re reading Lee Goldberg's, "The Walk" (I highly recommend it, as it stands up well to re-reading!), and wondered what sort of event might place me in a parallel circumstance. "Emily in the Dark" is the result of that ruminating. The sex parts are later in the story, but I hope that folks reading on this site will (a) find the rest of the story interesting, and (b) enjoy the intimate encounters. Please, vote and leave feedback! Thank you!
So, I note that another writer on this site (T. S. Fesseln: Go read his stories!) is looking for a proofreader. As might be evident, I proof read, edit, and generally massage my own stories. I do the best that I can, but, in common with every other writer here, I have a life. This life involves a job, spouse, other family, hobbies (other than writing), sleeping, and suchlike. Therefore, I move my scribblings forward with painful slowness.
All of which is to own up to the truth of the re-stated adage, in my case, "A man who is his own proof reader, has typos, misspellings, and word salad as his product".
