A short story about the arrival of a new vampire to town, the fun and outgoing David, as seen through the eyes of his long-time pen pal, the gloomy (and thirsty) recluse Ashley. David is eager to meet her, but it turns out that she may have exaggerated a few details about herself, and sprinkled a few teeny tiny lies in there too. Surely this will not result in a horrible misunderstanding. Surely.

A Story in the The Amulets of Power Universe
At the end of Amulets V, Mike is warned that he isn't finished yet. After allowing Chanthra and him to find a house-girl. the three of them are sent out on the mission to the Golden Triangle that the Amulets have assigned them. In Chiang Rai, their destination is changed from the capital of the Golden Triangle to the District of Sing in Northern Laos where Mike joins a group set on destroying an opium factory.

A dark romance that has the feel good aspects of a romance but is wrapped up in the pain, anger, and turmoil of two people fighting to rebuild their lives. This story deals with date rape and contains one scene that's not overly graphic, but some might be offended. That chapter is clearly marked.

It's just a sappy love story that was supposed to be the introduction to another story. It has taken on a life of its own. The other story has a start but is currently stalled there while this one wends its way through my mind and fingers. Please note, no sex and little bad stuff. Like I wrote, it's sappy!
