Daddy isn’t my daddy, he’s a vampire! Based on Lynsay Sands Immortal fantasy series, I borrowed her "not vampire" theme. The nanos in Immortals recognize a likely life mate. That could present difficulties if the girl isn't an adult. If you're an immortal lawman, time and waiting for her to grow up can be endured. It must!

A terrific Canadian novelist, Lynsay Sands created the Immortal series. Not vampires, exactly. I love her books! Her scientific immortals require blood to fuel "nanos", medically engineered healing nanobots created in Atlantis ages past. Here, I've borrowed her "not vampire" theme, creating a short story of an encounter in the Victorian era.
