Sometimes strange things happen, in the Brownian Movement of life, totally different lives are drawn together, like random molecules. Sometimes these molecules react together, who knows what the result will be? My first effort at a short story.
An explosion and fire leaves Cosette, 10, and her mom Syl in crisis, they stay with their divorced neighbor Julie. But where's Sette's dad (Theo)? At Julie's, her ex-husband and his gorgeous admin (now his 2nd wife) visit often, staying, uh, overnight. Together in her bed. Really? How does that even work? Theo is back; he's studly in bed but unemployed, they're at risk for homelessness. Fond of Sette, Julie worries. What to do? (No under 18 sex.)
Mary is a very troubled young woman with very unhealthy ideas about sex and suicide, especially ones involving both at the same time. Will the love and care of a relative stranger be enough to save her? Note the Caution flag! This is an odd sort of romance story that might not be to everyone's taste, and might have something to offend nearly everyone. Note the story codes carefully! (Newly revised and re-edited)
Nicole is running away from her past after the two people she cared most about betrayed her in the worst of ways. She gradually makes a new life, somewhere far away; away from the memories. But can Nicole learn to forgive... and will she ever be able to trust again?
A Swarm Cycle Story
As soon as the Marines announced it was a pickup, dozens of armed people jumped up. As fast as the Marines were, they did not have time to get a shot off. Sadly, that was not the only excitement in store for the new colonists. This story is a wartime story with a horror code, be forewarned.
