An explosion and fire leaves Cosette, 10, and her mom Syl in crisis, they stay with their divorced neighbor Julie. But where's Sette's dad (Theo)? At Julie's, her ex-husband and his gorgeous admin (now his 2nd wife) visit often, staying, uh, overnight. Together in her bed. Really? How does that even work? This is a knock off of Twilight, though with better humor. Human girl moves to small town in Montana, goes to school and meets the Vampires. They fall for each other, after a bit of annoyance on both sides. Other Vampires appear and things go bad. They run, bad things happen, she's rescued and all is kind of well.

As soon as the Marines announced it was a pickup, dozens of armed people jumped up. As fast as the Marines were, they did not have time to get a shot off. Sadly, that was not the only excitement in store for the new colonists. This story is a wartime story with a horror code, be forewarned.
