A widowed piano player is lost in his private world of despair when he meets a similarly troubled young woman on an Aegean cruise. Can a journey together to a long forgotten island ruined temple wash away their fears and heartache and allow them to find future happiness together? A romantic story of sadness and hope and perhaps even a little magic. Gently revised and updated.
David experiences love and the heartache of loss in his life, and on his journey of recovery finds it difficult to accept help at all, but especially from an unexpected source. He has to learn that some things shouldn't ever 'go without saying', and finds that not all his friends know when to speak and when to shut up. That needs wisdom, which really does go without saying.
A Dulcie Story Dulcie's faith is severely tested.
Not really a stand-alone - it will make much better sense if you've read at least the first of the series.
A Still Waters / Fair Winds Story You catch your wife with another man. Right before you can divorce her cheating ass, you go and win the fucking Lottery! Of all the rotten luck!

I had been sitting in the food court when I was nearly hit by falling boxes. Offering to help triggered an outburst from an angry young woman. "What, you see a cripple and think you have to help? What do you know about handicaps? Why don't you shut up and leave me alone!" she screamed. The entire food court was silent. I didn't respond, just got my cane from a chair where I'd left it. As I was leaving the food court I heard, "Please stop!" The words weren't quite so angry now.
