A Christmas Story
Mark Cornwall's had it with women, once married 10 years, separated and untouched in 5 years, he's as happy as he feels he'll ever be on his own. Now he's sold his successful haulage business, to fulfil his bucket list: backpacking the world with his trusty camera. He's guaranteed his staff's employment, given them Christmas off and driving his truck for the last time, south to north to his old stamping grounds. Then he spots a woman in distress and risks being the unlikeliest of white knights.

Liz loves Hockey and meets a similar fan in Steve. Unfortunately, he roots for the wrong team. They make a bet--she'll give him two minutes of anything he wants for every game her team loses.Note: This is inspired by Frank Downey's "Curse of the Bambino" and was written in real time during the 2004 NHL semi-final playoffs. There is no sex in the early chapters, hence the "slow" code.

A young half-breed finds out he is a Shaman. He decides to use his powers to make life better for the ones still on the reservation. Now to see if his plan is going to work.
