A Story from The Town
Step back into the world of The Analyst, The Chef, The Practitioner, and The Clerk with this collection of character-driven short stories. From epilogues to unexpected new beginnings, these tales expand the lives of familiar faces, introduce intriguing new characters, and reveal that every ending is simply the start of another story. Each story differs in tone, themes, and levels of intimacy—some contain none, while others are more explicit.

Sophie, an intellectually challenged 18-year-old with Turner syndrome, has been lured into an escalating situation with a much older, wealthy man she met through her older sister Charlene's online sugar daddy pursuits. The meeting helps the nieve girl discover her body one message at a time through complicated family dynamics and new friendships.

Maya is twenty-two, living alone, and the summer is too hot for anything modest. Across the hall is Hari Uncle—thirty-nine, shirtless, wrapped in a loose lungi that never quite stays put. She calls him over for sockets that don’t need fixing. He “accidentally” lets the cloth slip. She “accidentally” doesn’t wear a bra. The heat between them isn’t just the weather. Then a documentary on nursing changes everything. Maya’s body answers a hunger she didn’t know she had. She induces lactation.

Gabriela Rodriguez is a terrorist facing decades in supermax after blowing up a CEO's mansion. Akira Drake is an arsonist. She's a woman with a cause; he's just plain crazy. She thinks too much; he doesn't think at all. They shouldn't want each other. They definitely shouldn't need each other. But in a place where everyone's already damned, what's one more bad decision?

How much does a choice weigh? For some, freedom is a new key; for others, it is the girl who felt like home. In a shared silence, between the walls of a shared apartment, the things left unsaid began to outgrow the things they dared to speak. Is desire mechanical, or a spark that burns the bridges of a lifetime? Between a lesson and a loss, they crossed lines that can never be undrawn. A story of skin, ghosts, and the heavy price of finally knowing.

Three amorous young couples will need to rethink their summer vacation when a tropical storm traps them all inside together. As crossed wires and unfulfilled desires slowly bubble to the surface, an ordinary vacation rental becomes an erotic pressure cooker, threatening to forever change these longtime friendships… into something more.
