The meeting itself, the first meeting, was bizarre and fortuitous. Wayne was making a stop at the Grand Canyon, on his traveling trip. It was emotional for Lindy, as she looked out over the canyon and she turned and in her heightened emotional state simply clung to the young man who was standing there. It was a beginning that neither had anticipated.
The trip back to Glenwood for Dr Dave Harris, though he'd recently been there, was a hard one. His lovely little sister Geraldine and her husband Hal had been killed in an auto accident. He was returning to become the 'Poppa' for their daughter, his God daughter Geraldine, Gerry. It was a beginning for the two of them, though Gerry said that she'd like to have a Mommie. That had to wait a while but in the end even that was possible.
The situation, involving a hostage, was threatening to get out of hand. That's when they called their expert marksman, Gail Coleman. With one quick move he took care of the situation, and even won the girl.
