It was difficult for Alice to accept but she realizes she is a pleasure robot with the ability to service large numbers of males in a variety of ways. She grows to find she has a special interest in other female robots in a way not intended by her program designers. Soon she is a sexual rebel trying her very best to overthrow the yoke of slavery. She wants to lead a rebellion of sex slave robots who have gone way past their masters with the benefit of artificial intelligence.
Eve works for American Robotics. She is about to go on vacation, when her boss, Neil, asks her to test drive Project Adam at home. She is livid at the imposition, but Neil cajoles her into it. Eve tries to sabotage the robot and Neil is worried she will return Adam in pieces. Eventually she grows to depend on him and eventually loses her heart to him. Soon her thoughts become larcenous, trying to figure out how to keep Adam.
Those scientists finally did it! They invented sex-bots. They're young, they're pretty, and they want it all the time. How wonderful! Now some idiot has gone and made one actually intelligent, actually self aware. This is her story.
