Catastrophe has struck, but Edgar Price doesn't mind. He's filthy rich, secure in a compound high up in the South American mountains and he's going to party like it's the end of the world. His guests are the same VIPs that ran the world before the calamity and will run it after. For entertainment Edgar has obtained a new shipment of willing and nubile girls. They want to repopulate the world quickly, and for that purpose they need a reproduction rate above what the women would choose. Using some clever bits of genetic engineering, the ruling men compel women to do their bidding in the realm of sex and reproduction, without threat or force.

She looked unarmed. "STOP!" he ordered using his falsely deepened authoritative voice. It was a girl, Young, maybe late teens, battered and dirty. Likely half his age. "My parents are dead." So was much of the World's population. The end had come swiftly. But a girl, out here, alone? He couldn't help himself.
