A Story in the Knights and Commoners Universe
In the year 1500, a boy, Joerg Isebrand, is born into a peasant family in Northern Germany. Banished from the land of his birth at age sixteen, young Joerg soon finds himself a landsknecht, a soldier for hire. The story follows the next fourteen years of his life, as he rallies his siblings and fights in the wars of the 16th century. He dallies with many women and girls, but it is an unlikely bride who finally wins his heart. Chapters 3 and 7 were adapted to the new SOL rules. / (Reviews)

Ten years have passed since the orphans arrived at the Jade Academy. There's a civil war brewing in Inra and the military thinks it can conscript a couple cadets to help out in the war effort. / (Reviews)

A story set in the Pinwheel Universe
Evan and his squad fight their way across a blasted hellscape of trenches and fortifications as they push toward the Queen's mountain stronghold, intent on delivering a killing blow to the Bugs on Kerguela. With all of their cards on the table, the Coalition fleet must band together and use every tool at their disposal if they want to put an end to the alien occupation of the moon.

This is the speech I wrote as the guest speaker for the Parshall, ND Memorial Day celebration. I think it was well received and there weren't many dry eyes in the room after I spoke.

A Poacher's Progress Story
An unanticipated stay in Aden is enlivened by Rollo Guest's story. Another voyage takes Mimi and Jack to Madras, a different continent and many surprising discoveries, not all unpleasant. A murderous religious sect and a reincarnation of a goddess ensures their stay in the country is memorable, as are the characters they meet, including a couple of old friends. Jack plumbs the depths of despair before the conclusion of his quest. An ending contains the embryo of new beginnings.
