A Thank You Note Story
A US infantry squad is dumped at the wrong place on a Normandy beach on June 6, 1944. Just a normal SNAFU.

A squad of combat soldiers are betrayed and used as bait. Years later the only survivor is still trying to find peace. The one responsible for betraying his squad is trying to come back and other senior officers need the survivor out of the way.

This is the first of 2 stories about young men who become farmers. the 1st is a soldier then a roustabout finally a farmer.

An Ark Story
Part 1 described preparing the Ark to shelter 1.4 million people from the meteoroids and virus that would kill 95% of Earth's population. Part 2 describes the Arkians' preparation to return to the surface, how they deal with the people who were left on the surface, and their struggles to create a new society. The story covers the Arkians' first year on the surface. Reading Part 1 first is strongly suggested. The story's real action begins around Chapter 4.
