It was meant to be a chapter story, but I decided to abandon it and go in another direction. Still, this story wasn't "bad enough" to stash in my "slush pile," so I kept it around, in case I ever wanted to pick it up at a later date. This story is based on the TV series Outlander. It focuses on the episode where a young heroine is sold into slavery by an unscrupulous man. In the show, the girl is rescued by her family at the last moment. But what would have happened if she wasn't rescued .....
