Join Billy Oldham and his wives in their war against Bushwhakers in Missouri in the 1850s. The Civil War had already started out here in the West, and Billy gets caught up in a private war of extermination. This story is about the Wild West that nurtured the likes of Jesse and Frank James. The dialog has dialect, but the rest of the story does not, so it should be easy to read. There is no overt sex, but they characters do talk about it.

Mother catches son and daughter screwing. Son was afraid but his sister assures him and tells him an old secret about their mother.

Moving made things different, but not necessarily better. He would not let his cheating wife take his sons.
