A young scientist meets the boss's daughter at his department's Christmas shindig. Sparks fly, sperm flows and suddenly a shot gun wedding is looming. Problem: she is pregnant from another man. Or so she thinks. It's not really a Christmassy sort of story but it may fit the spirit.
A Story in the Damsels In Distress Universe
Professor Edwin Jackson taught history, for the simple reason that he had a desire to live in historical times. Although offered many times to go to Chaos, he had always refused. He knew that the suggestion of a medieval world with Damsels in Distress was a result of the misguided imaginings of his good friend Gerald Jones. Better late than never. {new edit by TeNderLoin: 03/24/2020}
Roger Bishop found early retirement from a factory to be lonely and boring, especially since he's a widower. With nothing better to do, he gets the idea of going south to help with the cleanup after Hurricane Katrina. Down amid the rubble, he meets a lifelong free spirit, Catalina Smith, who's there on the same mission, so being lonely is no longer a problem. What's more, it seems that Catalina has some problems of her own. All of a sudden he really doesn't have to worry about being bored! / (Reviews)

My wife got pregnant by accident. She never wanted children and this one got in the way of her career plans. She wanted to go back to work as soon as possible after Jordan was born, but I worked, too, so we needed some help. Help was a college girl named Erica, who loved taking care of Jordan. She was good at it, too. In fact, she was a better mother to him than his birth mother was. It turned out she had a trick up her sleeve that made Jordie always happy to see her. Me, too, as it turned out.
