Today, 11 June, 2021, is Paul Macon's fifteenth birthday. That means that exactly one year ago he turned fourteen, and Paula Akron just four days before that. -- I'm numbering them so that they will be listed in chronological order. Every now and then I might stick something in that happened before something else.

Carl is a divorced man, who is spending the night before Halloween alone because his daughter decided to go to a party instead. But when shopping he sees a rabbit costume, so decides to crash the party and check up on her. This is an extended version of my earlier story "Harvey". Most of the story is the same, but the ending is different. In short, it is no longer a "Dark Tale" in the same way as I gave it a happier ending.

The original series was about the Voodoo Queen but this series will only refer to her without any inclusion in the scenario. The lair of Lafitte is in a basement under hallowed ground so it is relatively safe from most predators. His supply of virgins is assured because of favors granted to the Voodoo Queen and his clan harvest new sources of blood at least once a week in the French Quarter.
