A story in the Kaire Universe
A Kaire combat veteran returns home. While searching for work he and others are taken. When he awakens it is as a prisoner to Kaire hunters. Only they made a mistake, this Kaire had been in a stalker company and was extremely good at hunting too.
This is a rewrite of an old post. It was one of my first efforts and was very rough. I think I've got it fixed. Mick and Vicki work together and are sent on a work assignment. Amy is married to Mick. Stuff happens.
Janet and Tom have a wonderful life. She's gorgeous and he's a handsome, successful businessman. What could possibly go wrong with that? Both characters find out, when Tom's protege seduces Janet. There are extenuating circumstances. There are ALWAYS extenuating circumstances. But the fact remains. This two-part, story traces the events leading to the seduction. Then, it follows the long painful path to eventual understanding and final reconciliation
