A story in the Kaire Universe
I was born Kaire and raised by a human. He was the one to send me to Kair to finish school. That was where I found the old records of a lost colony. I just needed someone to listen and got more than I expected when it turned out to be the emperor. He sent me searching in a scout ship where we found those lost and forgotten.
A prince decides to become one of the elite special operation soldiers. Unfortunately since those in his team do not know who he really is things can become complicated. Like the private family feud with another empire royal family.
An unfaithful wife led him into the suicide mission. Only he survived and ended a war and became a hero. All he wanted was to be left alone but when the young empress wants him it brings him back to life. When the assassins come for her he is the one that has to fight for both their lives.
I never knew who my father was. When my mother took me to the fancy ball I was bored. Until the mercenaries struck and I had to protect myself and my mother. I failed and she and everyone else died. I staggered out with her body and my life changed. I found out who my father was but to me that did not matter, I wanted those that had killed my mother.

If you've read 'The Lost Child' this will make more sense, since it's Robin's story, from her point of view of being found by Charlie on the lake's rock bank two days after the boat crash. It will make sense if read first, however. Enjoy, please.
