A Story in the Laresa World Universe
(Follow-up to "Deified", completing Nathifa's tale) Laresa and Nathifa are living a quiet, simple life among their newly adopted people, but Laresa is troubled. Recent events have eroded her ability to brush off that she is Djinn, and thus a slave. Being so close to Nathifa, only recently freed from the bonds of the Djinn herself, is a source of turmoil for Laresa as well. The village also faces danger as "Those who live outside the light" stalk the peaceful community.
Young minds are being counseled against the abuse of illegal substances. Society should be appaluded for instituting such advice. The intent here is not to argue against this counsel. It is also not to criticize the fine police forces that are employed in the free world. They are charged with a truely difficult task and are doing their best to keep society free from dangerous criminals...And they do a damn outstanding job !

I thought I'd put this up a long time ago, which is why I kept referring to it in Hilley Ascending (what can I say - I'm old - I drink - I forget things). It foreshadows who Hilley becomes. She is eight years old here, and traveling with her parents in Europe. The story itself is much shorter than usual. But you will meet a number of the characters who appear later in Hilley's life. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing it.
A Time Scope Story Jeb and his wives completed the first meeting of the world’s delegates. The delegates said they will recommend a second meeting to their governments to negotiate an Alliance Agreement with the Empire. Between meetings, they are expanding their business, JAMP Enterprises, LLC. Their main problem is to prevent runaway expansion. Mary tells them they will be adding a new wife to their relationship. Conflict and Intergalactic drama is in their future. The final part of the Time Scope 4 series.
