I like hardboiled film noir, especially Raymond Chandler. Noir means "dark "and this piece is certainly that. I am exploring why people do self-destructive things. None of the characters are good. But none are bad either; with one glaring exception. I hope you enjoy - DT

Set in Lazlo Zalezac's 'Damsels In Distress Universe,' this story follows yet another warrior hero. Pete is a recently discharged combat medic who is recruited by a Hero's two granddaughters who desperately want to go to Chaos as Companions.
