Blackmail Stories

A story about two south-Asian families settled in America. They are close friends and next-door neighbors. A moment of weakness between two people spirals into a tempest, ensnaring all in its turbulent wake. The story involves incest and straight and bisexual sex between consenting adults.

Aussie Major Bill Walters chases money and sex in post WW2 Japan. He is a coward, opportunistic, money hungry and cynical user of women who finds himself in charge of the BCOF's (British & Commonwealth Occupying Force) vice and liquor and licencing section. A necessary setup because of the 400,000 American and 40,000 Commonwealth soldiers stationed there. It was a marriage made in heaven, Dracula running the blood bank, a child let loose in a candy shop or even worse. These are his memories.

Mr. Marcus, fresh from his portrayal of Dr. Fleischmann in Dr. Crumholtz's office, recalls the first time he got to "play doctor." I hope that the mental review doesn't distract him while he's driving home. He might rear-end somebody. The episode in question harkens back to daughter Annie's high school senior year, at the fateful volleyball game when Mr. Marcus gave Lore a big hug (that eventually led to "One For Good Luck"). Whose ball is it, anyway?
