Myrna is told to leave the building by Aron. On the way out, she is saved from freezing to death when a traveler invites her to spend the night in his room. He leads Myrna to a new life, a position she never dreamed of, and an inheitance she never sought. This is the first story in the Slave Girl series.

This is the introduction to the Slave Girl Series. It contains a brief history of the planet Brighid, on which the stories take place. It describes how conditions there developed, and things peculiar to the planet that affect the stories taking place there.

William, the Royal Judge/Executioner, stops Brad from whipping Ruth. Later he relates recent happenings in the capitol to Count Henry and the villagers. More of Brad's misdeeds are uncovered, and Count Henry finds Ruth a husband. He also solves some of his own problems. Story 2 in the Slave Girl Series.

Celia is rescued by Gabe after being beaten and thrown out into the coming snow storm to be eaten alive by the Count's dogs. They spend the storm in the gardener's shack. Gabe turns out to be more than the poor woodsman Celia believed him to be. Celia goes on to be a daughter and mother with many surprises. This is story seven in the Slave Girl series.

Jason takes in a couple of underage slave girls (twin sisters) on a cold winter evening and takes care of them. His life becomes a lot more interesting as the girls are determined to become women and leave childhood behind. This is story eight in the Slave Girl series.
