I am a life-long Reader, from a family of readers. My mother and father read to me, and I was able to read before I was four-years-old. In school I enjoyed reading, but I don't recall any particular talent for writing. I joined the US Army immediately after high school. In the Army I continued to read voraciously; both non-fiction mostly related to places I was likely to deploy, or about military matters, as well as various types of fiction.
I served for three decades, travelling to four continent, and dozens of nations. Military history, military fiction, and military sci-fi, as well as "swords & sorcery" cyberpunk, westerns, and thrillers are among my favorite subjects. On SOL I enjoy rather "vanilla" MF with some sex, and romance. I do enjoy some stories with Mf and interracial aspects. Some stories about Prostitution I also enjoy.
I can understand some occasional fantasies about bondage, but S&M, and more extreme force are a turn-off. Scat, piss, sex with animals, rape, abuse of children, and "snuff" absolutely disgust me!
"Do-Overs" are a new type of story that I have read on SOL. I have read some quite well done "Do-Over" stories on SOL (and some not so well written).
I will try to be fair and objective on the technical aspects of any story I review; offering my opinion on other aspects. I will try to keep any criticism constructive, and try to avoid being negative.
