A Two Ships Passing Story (2) "Heard a bump" is a strange phrase to use to describe an event in a large jet aircraft. You might "feel" bumps during a flight, but you do not "hear" bumps when flying in a safe plane. I looked up instantly and saw the nearest stewardess. Her face had turned white. My fellow passenger asked, "What was that noise... is something wrong?"
Long haul truck drivers lead a mostly lonely life. I know, I once was one. Inside the words I'm submitting there is one tiny bit of truth that was mine, but you won't know until the end what it was. Read of one lonely long haul truck driver and of one experience he had. Just keep in mind the next time you get behind one of those slow moving trucks that without them you would be without almost everything you take for granted.
Using the idea from the novel "The Blue Lagoon" by Henry der vere Stacpoole, this is the story of a boy and his little sister shipwrecked on an island in the Pacific between the Philippines and Indonesia in 1950. Book 1 consists of 10 chapters. It begins slow as it should, but later chapters may keep you wanting to know more.
This is a much-revised version of a long novel I posted on SOL in 2013. I expect to post new chapters weekly. The MC gets a new life, but this is no simple do-over; he has a much-improved body and a minimal tool kit, but beyond that he's on his own. No laws, no government--this is ultimate survival, on an Earth in the late Ice Age. There are others like him, including women, if he can find them, while avoiding the sabertooths and giant bears!
Now Montana is beautiful country, it rightly earned the name "Big Sky Country" because of the scenic views. Well that’s what I read anyway. However, I was crossing the state in February and the weather was shit!
